Yufuin is a popular hot spring resort with views of the majestic Mount Yufu. Along Yunotsubo Kaido, the street from JR Yufuin Station to Lake Kinrin, stylish cafes, galleries, and sweets shops line the way. Lake Kinrin, wrapped in morning mist, offers a fantastical spectacular view limited to early morning, with mysterious steam rising from the lake surface where hot springs and cold springs intermingle. There are many ways to enjoy the area, including visits to art museums, scenic strolls by horse carriage, and Mount Yufu trekking. Taking a leisurely ride on a sightseeing horse carriage through town is a luxury unique to Yufuin.
