Kenrokuen is one of Japan's three most famous gardens, alongside Kairakukan in Mito and Korakuen in Okayama. It is a stroll garden built over many years by the lords of Kaga clan, where visitors can enjoy the beauty of each season. Winter snow-binding is famous as a characteristic winter sight of Kanazawa. The Kasumiga Pond and Kotoji lantern within the garden are popular as photogenic spots.
