Iwakuni White Snake Viewing Experience

Yamaguchi Prefecture's Iwakuni City is home to the rare white snake (a white mutation of the aodaisho), designated as a national natural monument. At the Iwakuni White Snake Museum, you can observe the white snake's ecology up close and learn why white snakes are concentrated only in Iwakuni. The white snake is believed to be a messenger of Benzaiten that 'brings financial luck and good fortune' and is popular as a power spot. It's recommended to visit along with Kintai Bridge sightseeing.
