Hoshino Resort Tomamu's Cloud Sea Terrace is a popular spot where you can enjoy the dynamic cloud sea spreading below from an observation terrace set at the mountaintop at an elevation of 1,088m. When you take a gondola and arrive at the mountaintop in about 13 minutes, if you're lucky, a sea of clouds spreading across the entire view appears. The probability of cloud sea formation is approximately 40%, and it is said to appear especially easily on cool early morning days. A cafe is also located on the terrace, where you can spend a luxurious time enjoying coffee while gazing at the cloud sea.
