Yanaka Cemetery is a vast cemetery located just a short walk from Nippori Station. The Sakura-dori (Cherry Blossom Street) that runs through the center is lined with approximately 100 Someiyoshino cherry trees, creating a spectacular cherry blossom tunnel when in full bloom. Known as a hidden spot where visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms quietly without the crowds of Ueno Park. The cemetery is also home to the graves of many notable figures including Tokugawa Yoshinobu and Shibusawa Eiichi, making it an interesting destination for historical exploration. It's also popular as part of the "Yanesen" walking course that includes Yanaka Ginza shopping street.
