Hamarikyu Gardens Tea Experience
A luxurious experience of enjoying matcha in a daimyo garden in the heart of the city. The contrast between the tidal pond and high-rise buildings creates a uniquely Tokyo spectacular view.
Hamarikyu Onshi Teien is a daimyo garden in the heart of the city, located next to the former Tsukiji Market site. The tidal pond draws in seawater, creating a rare garden where the scenery changes with the ebb and flow of tides. At Nakajima no Ochaya teahouse within the garden, you can enjoy a luxurious moment sipping matcha and traditional sweets while gazing at the pond. The contrast between the towering high-rise buildings of Shiodome in the background and the Edo period garden creates a uniquely Tokyo landscape. In spring, approximately 300 cherry trees bloom beautifully, while autumn brings stunning cosmos flowers. Access by water bus from Asakusa is also possible.
