At the Nima Sand Museum in Oda City, Shimane Prefecture, you'll find "Sand Calendar," the world's largest annual sand clock standing 5.2 meters tall. Over the course of a year, 1 ton of sand falls through this grand hourglass, creating an impressive exhibition that allows you to visually experience the passage of time. Inside the museum, you can participate in sand art experiences using singing sand from Koto-ga-hama Beach and glass craft workshops using sand as material. It's a romantic spot also known as the setting for the manga "Sand Clock."
