天塩郡豊富町, Hokkaido
Sarobetsu Wilderness with Ezo-kanzo flowers blooming across the landscape against the backdrop of Mount Rishiri-Fuji
Sarobetsu Wilderness is Japan's northernmost vast wetland, part of Rishiri-Rebun-Sarobetsu National Park. From late June to early July, yellow Ezo-kanzo flowers bloom magnificently across the entire area, creating spectacular scenery with Mount Rishiri-Fuji as the backdrop. Wooden boardwalks are well-maintained, allowing visitors to observe wetland plants and wild birds up close. The Sarobetsu Wetland Center also features extensive exhibits where you can learn about the formation of the wetlands.
