Yoshinogari Historical Park is a state-run park that reconstructs and develops a large-scale moated settlement site from the Yayoi period. Approximately 100 buildings including watchtowers, pit dwellings, and elevated storehouses have been reconstructed, allowing you to experience what it would be like to travel back 2,000 years in time. The park also offers abundant programs where you can experience ancient life firsthand, such as comma-shaped bead making and fire-making workshops. While strolling slowly through the vast grounds, you can reflect on the roots of Japanese history. It is also a beautiful park, with spring cherry blossoms and autumn cosmos flowers.
