Mount Rishiri is an independent peak with an elevation of 1,721m and one of Japan's Hyakumeizan (100 Famous Mountains). The entire island consists of this mountain and is also called the "Alps of the Sea." The Oshidomari Course is a full-fledged 10-hour climb, with spectacular 360-degree views of the Okhotsk Sea and Rebun Island from the summit. Besides climbing, there are various ways to enjoy the island, including cycling around the island and strolling around Otatomari Pond. Rishiri kelp and sea urchin are also exquisite.
