Rebun Island is Japan's northernmost remote island, known by the nickname "floating island of flowers." Despite its low altitude, over 300 species of alpine plants bloom near the coastline, including many endemic species such as the Rebun Lady's Slipper orchid. Multiple trekking routes are available, including 4-hour and 8-hour courses, with the Momoiwa Observatory course recommended for beginners. From June to August, flowers bloom in succession, offering new discoveries with every visit.
