Okutama Nihara Gorge Trail

Nihara Gorge, situated at the innermost part of Okutama Town, is a spot where nature unfolds as if you're not in Tokyo at all. Walking the path alongside the Nihara River, you'll encounter emerald-green sparkling waters, moss-covered rocks, and primordial forest tunnels. It showcases the changing seasons from spring's fresh greenery to autumn's vibrant foliage, with autumn's colors being particularly breathtaking. While many visit it alongside the stalactite cave, the gorge trail alone offers plenty to enjoy. It's also popular as a summer retreat.
