Nippara Limestone Cave is the largest limestone cave in the Kanto region, located in Okutama Town, Tokyo. This dynamic cave system extends approximately 1,270 meters with an elevation difference of 134 meters, featuring countless massive stalagmites and stalactites throughout. The large cavern known as "Shide no Yama" (Mountain of the Dead) is particularly spectacular. The cave maintains a constant temperature of about 11°C year-round, making it perfect for summer cooling. Colorful illumination creates a fantastical atmosphere throughout the cave. The surrounding area offers stream fishing and hiking trails, allowing visitors to fully enjoy nature.
