National Treasure Stone Buddha Complex of Usuki Magaibutsu

Usuki Magaibutsu is a group of stone Buddha statues carved into tuff cliffs from the late Heian period to the Kamakura period, with over 60 statues designated as National Treasures. The Dainichi Nyorai statue in the Hoki Stone Buddha First Group is acclaimed as the masterpiece of Japanese stone Buddhist sculptures, and its serene expression brings peace to the hearts of viewers. The walking path that connects the four groups of stone Buddhas takes about 30 minutes to complete, and the harmony between the moss-covered rock faces and stone Buddhas is beautiful.
