Yahiko Shrine, with over 2,400 years of history as the Echigo Province Ichinomiya, is a solemn space surrounded by dense cedar tree-lined paths. This representative power spot of Niigata attracts worshippers year-round. Behind the shrine, Yahiko-yama offers easy access to the summit via ropeway. From the 634-meter observation deck, a 360-degree panorama unfolds showing the Echigo Plain and the Sea of Japan, with views extending to Sado Island on clear days. It's also famous as a spot for autumn foliage.
