Naruto Whirlpool
The world's largest-class whirlpool that occurs in Naruto Strait. You can experience this impressive natural phenomenon from the pedestrian walkway 'Uzunomichi' on the Onaruto Bridge or from sightseeing boats.
In Naruto Strait, whirlpools reaching up to 20 meters in maximum diameter form due to tidal fluctuations. Counted as one of the world's three great tidal currents, their power is truly spectacular. From the pedestrian walkway 'Uzunomichi' established within the Onaruto Bridge structure, you can look down on the whirlpools from directly above through a glass floor, and riding a sightseeing boat allows you to experience them up close. Spring and autumn spring tides offer the most impressive views, and it's recommended to check the tidal table before visiting.
