Thousand Cherry Blossoms of Yoshinoyama
Japan's premier cherry blossom spot where approximately 30,000 cherry trees cover the mountain. Enjoy blossoms for about a month from Shimo-senbon to Oku-senbon
Yoshinoyama in Nara Prefecture is one of Japan's most representative cherry blossom spots, where approximately 30,000 Shirayamazakura trees fill the entire mountain. Due to the elevation differences between Shimo-senbon, Naka-senbon, Kami-senbon, and Oku-senbon, cherry blossom viewing can be enjoyed for about a month from early to late April. The view from Naka-senbon, called Hitome-senbon, is particularly spectacular. The collaboration with historic structures such as the World Heritage site Kinpusen-ji Temple and Yoshimizu Shrine is also a highlight. You can also savor Yoshino delicacies like kuzumochi and persimmon leaf sushi.
