Mount Wakakusa is a gently sloping, grassy mountain with an elevation of 342 meters and is the perfect playground for children. During the open season, you can enjoy kite flying, ball games, and picnics on the vast grassy slopes. From the summit, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Nara Basin, and spending time with deer is a unique experience to Nara. The mountain burning ceremony in January is also spectacular.
