Naoshima, situated in the Seto Inland Sea, is an art island internationally renowned as Benesse Art Site Naoshima. The Chichu Art Museum designed by Tadao Ando features a unique structure with the entire building buried underground, allowing visitors to appreciate works by Claude Monet and James Turrell in natural light. Numerous outdoor works by Yayoi Kusama, including yellow and red pumpkins, are scattered throughout, creating a one-of-a-kind space where the island's nature and art harmoniously fuse together. It is an international tourist destination with many overseas visitors.
