Nakano Broadway Subculture Exploration

Nakano Broadway is a mixed-use building that opened in 1966 and now attracts attention from around the world as a holy land of subculture. Over 300 stores coexist in chaos, including manga and anime goods specialty shops led by "Mandarake," retro game shops, vintage watch stores, and idol merchandise shops. It features a deep and niche selection that differs from Akihabara. While the upper floors are residential, the commercial floors from 1F to 4F can be enjoyed for hours with a treasure hunt-like experience.
