Cherry Blossoms Along the Meguro River

The cherry blossom avenue stretching approximately 4km along the Meguro River is an iconic cherry blossom viewing spot in Tokyo. Approximately 800 Somei Yoshino trees extend their branches from both banks of the river, creating a pink tunnel at full bloom. The sight of fallen petals drifting on the river surface, known as haika, has its own charm. During cherry blossom season, nearby cafes and restaurants set up terrace seating, allowing visitors to enjoy cherry blossoms while dining. At night, the trees are illuminated, offering a magical experience of night cherry blossoms. The harmony with the fashionable streetscape of Naka-Meguro is also beautiful.
