Yonaha Maehama Beach is a representative beach of Miyako Island, called 'the most beautiful in the Orient,' and features pure white sandy shores stretching for approximately 7km. The contrast with the outstanding transparent emerald green waters known as Miyako Blue is spectacular, truly a paradise landscape. The powdery soft sand feels wonderful underfoot, and because the sea is shallow, families with children can play safely. The Kurima Oohashi Bridge spans behind the beach, and the views from Kurima Island after crossing the bridge are also spectacular. It is a must-visit beach when touring Miyako Island.
