Stunning Autumn Foliage at Naruko Gorge

Naruko Gorge: One of Tohoku's Premier Gorges, Its 100-Meter Cliffs Painted with Autumn Foliage
Naruko Gorge is a V-shaped gorge approximately 100 meters deep carved by the Otani River. From late October to early November, Japanese beech, oak, and maple trees turn red and yellow, and the view from Daifukasawa Bridge is known as one of Tohoku's representative autumn foliage spots. Walking along the hiking trails, the view of autumn leaves from the bottom of the gorge looking up is equally spectacular. A warm bath at the nearby Naruko Onsen after autumn foliage viewing is especially memorable.
