Amanohashidate View Land
Enjoy Amanohashidate, one of Japan's three scenic views, through "matanozoki" (upside-down viewing). The view from View Land resembles a dragon ascending to heaven
Amanohashidate in Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture, is one of Japan's three scenic views. This beautiful sand spit stretches approximately 3.6km with white sand and green pine trees, likened to a bridge descending from heaven. From Amanohashidate View Land, when you view the scenery through "matanozoki" (looking between your legs), heaven and sea appear inverted, creating a magnificent view of a dragon ascending to heaven. About 8,000 pine trees line the sandy beach, and you can cross it by bicycle or on foot. The wisdom ring at Chion-ji Temple is also popular as a pilgrimage spot. Don't miss the delicious seafood cuisine of Tango.
