Ryūgadō in Kami City, Kōchi Prefecture, is one of Japan's three great stalactite caves, spanning approximately 4 km in total length. On the tourist course, you can walk about 1 km while viewing exquisite stalactite formations such as celestial stones and Thousand Buddha stalactites up close. The adventure course offers thrilling exploration where you can wear a helmet and headlamp to crawl through narrow passages. The "God's Jar," pottery from the Yayoi period discovered in the cave that has become integrated with stalactites, is also of significant scholarly interest and a notable attraction.
