Shimobetsu Asparagus Harvest Experience

Shimobetsu Town is located on the southern foothills of Mount Yotei and is renowned for producing exceptionally sweet asparagus that benefits from the area's temperature variation. During the harvest experience held from mid-May through June, you can pick extra-thick green asparagus with your own hands in fields where morning dew still lingers. The freshly harvested asparagus, grilled over charcoal fire on the spot, offers a sweetness and texture completely different from commercially available products. You can fully enjoy the agricultural experience with Mount Yotei's magnificent scenery as your backdrop.
