Enjoy gold leaf soft ice cream and Japanese cafes at the atmospheric tea house district remaining in Kanazawa
Higashi Chaya District is the largest of Kanazawa's three tea house districts and an Important Traditional Building Preservation District where Edo period tea house architecture is beautifully preserved. Walking along streets lined with lattice-doored townhouses, you can enjoy shops offering gold leaf application experiences, gold leaf soft ice cream, Japanese cafes, and more. The atmosphere at dusk is particularly exceptional.
