Teshima Art Museum and Island Nature
Be moved by the water droplet art at Teshima Art Museum. Harmony of art and the spectacular view of terraced rice fields and the Seto Inland Sea from the island.
Teshima Art Museum was born from the collaboration between artist Naito Rei and architect Nishizawa Ryuei, and is an art space themed around water droplets. Inside the concrete shell-structured building, you can experience a delicate installation where water droplets welling up from the floor quietly continue to move. On the way to the museum, a beautiful panorama of terraced rice fields and the Seto Inland Sea spreads out, and there awaits a moving experience unique to Teshima, where nature and art harmonize.
