The Isumi Railway, running through the Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture, is a local railway line surrounded by rapeseed flower fields in spring. The sight of diesel trains running through yellow rapeseed flowers is photogenic and extremely popular with railway enthusiasts and photography lovers. The train runs slowly between Otaki Station and Kazusa-Nakano Station (approximately 27km), taking about 1 hour, allowing you to enjoy views of the rural landscape from the train windows. Combined with exploring the castle town of Otaki Castle and shopping at local farm markets, you can fully enjoy spring on the Boso Peninsula.
