Hiroshima Hondori Shopping Street is an approximately 577-meter-long arcade street and the largest shopping district in the Chugoku-Shikoku region. A diverse array of shops line the street including fashion, general goods, cosmetics, and gourmet food, with a wide selection ranging from local long-established stores to national chains. There are also specialty shops for momiji manju (the classic Hiroshima souvenir) and stores selling Hiroshima Carp merchandise. The appeal lies in being able to enjoy comfortable shopping under the arcade even on rainy days. The surrounding area is also home to numerous department stores and fashion buildings.
