Hakone Sculpture Forest Museum
An open-air museum where Hakone's nature and contemporary art blend seamlessly. A spacious art space featuring the Picasso Museum and foot baths.
Japan's first open-air museum, opened in 1969. Approximately 120 modern and contemporary sculptures by Henry Moore, Rodin, and others are displayed across a vast 70,000 square-meter site. The landscape where artworks and nature harmonize against the backdrop of Hakone's mountains is truly unique. The Picasso Museum houses over 300 Picasso works including ceramics and lithographs. The stained glass tower 'Symphony Sculpture Calling for Happiness' is a popular photo spot. At the foot bath café with naturally flowing hot spring water, discussing art while relieving your fatigue is a truly special experience.
