Fudo Falls, located deep in the mountains of Takayama Village, Gunma Prefecture, is a 32-meter straight waterfall and one of Gunma's famous waterfalls. After walking about 40 minutes on a hiking course from the parking lot, you arrive at a destination brimming with the feel of a hidden locale. The autumn foliage season from late October to early November is particularly spectacular, with the contrast of trees colored in red and yellow against the white waterfall stream being breathtaking. Hot springs are scattered throughout the surrounding area, making a bath after hiking highly recommended. In summer, it's also popular as a cool retreat spot full of negative ions.
