Ikaho Onsen: Autumn Leaves at Yumoto Street and Kawashika Bridge
Kawashika Bridge, located at the back of Ikaho Onsen's stone-step street. The illuminated autumn foliage in fall ranks among the most beautiful sights in the Kanto region.
Ikaho Onsen in Shibukawa City, Gunma Prefecture is a renowned hot spring famous for its 365-step stone-step street. Kawashika Bridge, situated beyond the top of the stone steps, becomes one of the Kanto region's most spectacular autumn foliage destinations when the surrounding maples turn vibrant colors in fall. From early to mid-November, the area is beautifully illuminated, creating a magical scene where the vermillion-painted bridge and autumn leaves glow against the darkness. Bathing at Yumoto's open-air Ikaho Bath while admiring the autumn leaves offers an equally exceptional experience. Strolling along the stone-step street playing traditional shooting games and sampling hot spring buns is another highlight.
