Tajima Gion Festival is a summer festival in Minami-Aizu Town with a history of over 800 years, and is one of Japan's three major Gion festivals alongside those in Kyoto and Hakata. The main highlight is the Shichigyo procession, featuring a bride in white bridal attire carrying sacred offerings in a splendid parade through town. Visitors can also see the pulling of large festival floats and performances of children's kabuki, making these three days the busiest time of year in this mountain town.
