Fukuoka Sake Brewery Tours and Japanese Sake Tasting

Fukuoka Prefecture is one of Japan's leading sake-producing regions, with the Kurume City and Jojima area particularly known for its concentration of sake breweries that use underground water from the Chikugo River. During brewery tours, you can learn about the brewing process guided by the master brewer (toji) and taste freshly pressed new sake. The February "Jojima Sake Brewery Festival" features popular sake brewery walks where visitors can tour multiple breweries. Purchasing limited-edition sake is also one of the highlights of the experience.
