Boso Flower Line
A driving route on the Boso Peninsula where rapeseed flowers paint the roadside yellow in early spring. Flower picking can be enjoyed from January.
The Boso Flower Line is a coastal driving course of approximately 46km from Tateyama to Minamiboso City. In the warm southern part of the Boso Peninsula, rapeseed flowers and poppies begin to bloom from January, allowing you to enjoy the feeling of spring even in the middle of winter. Flower picking gardens are scattered along the roadside where you can take cut flowers home. The contrast between the spectacular Pacific Ocean views and flower fields makes for excellent photos. Along the way, there are many attractions including the Nojimazaki Lighthouse in Shirahama and flower fields in Chikura. This route is also popular for motorcycle touring.
