Ashikaga Flower Park
Selected by CNN as one of the Top 10 Dream Destinations in the World. The Great Wisteria's nighttime illumination is ethereally beautiful.
A flower park spanning approximately 94,000 square meters where seasonal flowers bloom in beautiful abundance. The main highlight is the Great Wisteria, which reaches peak bloom from mid-April to mid-May. The wisteria arbor, over 160 years old, sprawls across an area equivalent to 600 tatami mats, with purple, white, and yellow flowers blooming in succession. The nighttime illumination is recognized as one of Japan's Three Major Illuminations, creating a fantastical world of light. The winter illumination features over 5 million LED lights adorning the grounds, making it the largest-scale illumination in Eastern Japan. Roses, hydrangeas, and other seasonal flowers are equally magnificent.
