Asahiyama Zoo is a zoo that became famous nationwide for its innovative exhibition method called 'behavioral exhibition.' Throughout the facility, there are ingenuities designed to bring out animals' natural behaviors and abilities. Visitors can experience unique attractions found nowhere else, such as an underwater tunnel where penguins swim overhead and a giant pool where polar bears dive up close. The winter-limited penguin walk is especially popular, with many visitors fascinated by the sight of penguins walking through the snow. Over 100 species of animals are kept here.
