Tsuruta Town lives up to its name as the 'Crane Village' and is engaged in the breeding of red-crowned cranes. At the Red-crowned Crane Nature Park, you can observe red-crowned cranes up close, and during keeper explanation sessions, you can learn about crane ecology and conservation activities. The adjacent Tsuru no Mai Bridge is Japan's longest wooden triple-drum bridge at 300 meters long and is also popular as a photo spot with Mount Iwaki in the background.
