Minobusan Kuon-ji is known as the head temple of the Nichiren sect. After climbing the 287-step stone staircase called "Bodai-tai," a magnificent temple complex spreads before you. Within the grounds, there are two weeping cherry blossoms over 400 years old, and during peak season from late March to early April, pale pink flowers adorn the temple grounds. If you take the ropeway to the summit of Minobu-san, you can enjoy spectacular views of Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps in a single glance. This is a renowned temple in Yamanashi that welcomes visitors throughout the four seasons.
