Hagi Glass Workshop Experience

Hagi Glass is a unique craft made from quartz basalt produced at Kasayama in Hagi City, characterized by its pale green color. Manufacturing began in the Hagi Domain during the late Edo period and continues today using revived traditional techniques. At the workshop, you can experience glass blowing and create works with your own hands such as cups and sake cups. The process of shaping molten glass by blowing into it is a tense yet deeply rewarding experience. Combining it with Hagi pottery tours is also recommended.
