In Tsuruoka City, where Shugendo culture thrives at the foot of Dewa Sanzan, you can experience making shojin ryori as the yamabushi monks do. Learn traditional cooking methods that use no animal products whatsoever, using wild vegetables from Gassan, local tofu, and dried ingredients guided by the monks.
