Tsukiji Outer Market

While the Central Wholesale Market relocated to Toyosu, the outer market remained in Tsukiji with approximately 400 shops continuing operations. Street food options such as tamagoyaki, seafood skewers, uni, and oysters are abundant, drawing crowds of tourists from morning onwards. Renowned sushi and seafood bowl restaurants continue to flourish, with authentic ingredients that professional chefs visit to source. There are also specialty shops for knives and cooking equipment that will delight food enthusiasts. Since many shops open early, breakfast visits are highly recommended.
