Mikuriga Pond is a volcanic lake located on the Tateyama Murodo Plain, said to be the most beautiful in the Northern Alps. Situated at a high elevation of 2,400m, on clear days the Tateyama Range reflects beautifully on the deep blue water surface, creating a spectacular view. From Murodo Terminal, you can reach it in about 10 minutes via a well-maintained walking path, where you may encounter ptarmigans in the surrounding area. Japan's highest elevation natural hot spring, Mikuriga Pond Hot Spring, is also located nearby.
