Misasa Radium Hot Spring Walk

Misasa Hot Spring is renowned for boasting the world's highest radium content, with traditional hot spring inns lined along the Mitoku River. The Kawarahyu, an open-air bath on the riverbank, is co-ed and offers a rustic bathing experience while listening to the murmuring stream. Foot baths and drinking spring sites are scattered throughout the hot spring town, and strolling through in yukata and wooden clogs is full of charm. The Nageire-do at Mitokusan Sanbutsuji Temple is known as Japan's most dangerous national treasure, with its magnificent structure standing on a sheer cliff.
