Shibamata Taishakuten and Yagiri Ferry
Experience the Sculpture Gallery of Shibamata Taishakuten and Yagiri Ferry in Shibamata, the town of Torasan
Shibamata Taishakuten is known as the setting of the film 'It's Tough Being a Man,' and the approach is lined with grass dango and rice cracker shops. The Sculpture Gallery of Taishakudo features magnificent wood carvings depicting tales from the Lotus Sutra and is a must-see. The Yagiri Ferry across the Edo River is Tokyo's only remaining ferry service, offering a pleasant 5-minute boat journey to Matsudo City in Chiba Prefecture on the opposite bank. It's a charming old-town atmosphere walking course.
