Anan Sea Turtle Museum Caretta

Ohama Beach in Minami town is designated as a natural monument as a loggerhead sea turtle nesting ground. At the adjacent Hiwasa Sea Turtle Museum Caretta, sea turtle ecology and conservation activities are displayed in an easy-to-understand way for children. In the museum's pool, visitors can observe sea turtles up close, and children's eyes light up. During the summer nesting season, nighttime egg-laying observation events are also held.
