Limestone unique rocks and autumn foliage collaboration in the Tochigi-Kuzu area valley
The Kuzu area of Sano City is known for limestone mining. Along the Akichichi River, a unique landscape unfolds where white rock faces blend with red and yellow autumn foliage. The hiking course around Kadayama Park is easy to walk even for beginners and reaches peak autumn foliage in mid-November. At the Kuzu Fossil Museum, you can view fossils of ancient marine organisms and enjoy both nature and geology.
