Immerse yourself in a fantastical purple world with the great wisteria illumination at the world's dream travel destination selected by CNN
The great wisteria at Ashikaga Flower Park is an impressive wisteria trellis over 160 years old with a shelf area of 1,000 square meters. During the flowering season from late April to May, purple, white, and yellow wisteria blooms in sequence, and the night illumination is particularly famous worldwide. The fantastical purple world, also selected for CNN's 'World's 10 Dream Travel Destinations,' is reminiscent of the Tree of Souls from the movie Avatar. The winter illumination 'Garden of Light Flowers' is also one of Japan's three greatest illuminations.
