The Fuji Five Lakes is a collective term for Lake Kawaguchi, Lake Yamanaka, Lake Saiko, Lake Shoji, and Lake Motosu, located on the northern base of Mount Fuji. Known as a scenic spot offering stunning views of Mount Fuji, the lakeside offers outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, and cycling. The 'Inverted Mount Fuji' depicted on the back of the 1,000-yen note is the view from Lake Motosu.
